We have fallen in love with this fruit bomb of a coffee from Ethiopia. Bursting with mango, raspberry alongside a delicate florality—we think you're going to be coming back for more!
This gem of a coffee comes to us from the Suke Drying Station in Shaakkiso, Guij in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. This station is overseen and processed by none other than the "King of Guji" Ture Waji and his team at Sookoo Coffee. Approximately 23 farmers deliver coffee to this washing station. Each of their farms are between 2.5-3 hectares of land.
Between harvests Ture and his team provide the farmers with education on how to improve the quality of their cherries along with strategic pre-harvest loans that aid in allowing farmers to hire help during the harvest time. These initiatives, alongside a near-direct supply chain, allow for long term sustainability and promote an increase in the overall well-being of farmers in the region. We're honored to have this coffee part of the DISTRICT lineup!
