DISTRICT | Coffee Grilling/BBQ Rubs

It's the 4th of July 2015! It's time to get out in the backyard and grill some great food for the family and friends.

In the DISTRICT, we'll be doing the same thing and using our special Waghi Bob Coffee Rub mix on our grilling meat. Here is the recipe so you can enjoy it too!

DISTRICT | WAGHI BOB COFFEE BBQ MEAT RUB

  • 6 Tablespoons - Ground DISTRICT Waghi Bob, New Guinea Coffee
  • 6 Tablespoons - Coarse Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons - Paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons - Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons - Coarse Pepper
  • 2 Teaspoons - Onion Powder
  • 2 Teaspoons - Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon - Coriander

Combine all the ingredients as indicated above. If you want more rub quantity, double the mixture.

Once thoroughly mixed, rub on your favorite grilling meat and let the meat stand for an hour or more before cooking for the best flavor.

As the meat is cooking, reapply as needed to ensure full coverage and a terrific spiced and smoked flavor to the meat.

Store any leftover rub in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Keep it handy throughout the summer.

Not a meat eater? More vegetarian or vegan?

We've got you covered with this great grilled vegetable rub. This basic spice blend can be added to marinades or sprinkled directly on grilled vegetables. The recipe makes enough for about four uses as a rub, marinade, or sprinkle.
