Guatemala | Los Alamos

$ 18.00 Regular price

Truly a delicious and well rounded coffee! For those who are seeking a traditional coffee profile with a rich and chocolaty flavor, we think you'll really dig this one. From the Huehuetenango region of Guatemala, one with a rich history of producing some of the best coffees, Los Alamos has won "Cup of Excellence" several times since the farm's origin in 1949.

We have loved this coffee in every preparation! It is a "full" medium roast, presenting darker than many of our coffees in the lineup, but by no means having any kind of bitterness or astringency. Rather, it is sweet beyond compare, rich milk chocolate bursting forth, alongside a balanced acidity with hints of orange peel. If you are an espresso lover, this coffee is definitely one to try out. Very easy to dial in and produces wonderfully balanced and sweet espressos.

Upon first roast, we knew this was a coffee we hoped to make a mainstay in the lineup. Sourced in partnership with Liberté Coffee, not only is this a tasty coffee—it's making a difference in the lives of families at the source. In partnership with founder Elmer Muñoz, his company has developed a strong relationship with the families who harvest the coffee through their Social Outreach Program. An excerpt from them:

The Social Outreach Program targeted to the workers of the farms and their families, represents Liberté Coffee’s social commitment to promote better life conditions, education, and access to medical services for these families; which in turn, will improve their overall development.

We hope you enjoy this coffee as much as we love roasting it.
